Each service at Ambit Horology has a defined scope, a stated fee, and a written record that comes back with the piece. Below is a full account of what each covers.

How Every Job at the Bench Proceeds
Enquiry
Owner describes the piece and the concern. Workshop advises on the most relevant service scope before intake is arranged.
Intake
Piece arrives. Appraisal is carried out. Written intake document records condition, scope, and fee. Owner signs off before bench work begins.
Bench Work
Scheduled work proceeds within the agreed scope. Owner is contacted if any deviation from the original scope is identified.
Handback
Piece returned with full written documentation: parts exchanged, measurements taken, test results recorded.
Service 01
Intake Assessment & Timing Report
A short bench appraisal covering rate in five positions, amplitude, case condition, and gasket age, written up as a two-page report the owner keeps whether or not further work follows. Intended for buyers of pre-owned pieces and for owners deciding between adjustment and a full service. The appraisal is completed within four working days and the fee is credited toward any work booked in the following two months.
Fee
RM 430
Bench Time
4 working days
Service 02
Bracelet Sizing & Refinishing
Link removal and refitting, collar and pin renewal, clasp re-tapping, and hand refinishing of brushed and polished surfaces so the original grain direction is kept. Suited to owners whose bracelet has stretched or whose clasp no longer holds. The job takes five to eight working days and includes a fit check on the wrist, replacement of worn spring bars, and a written note of every component exchanged.
Fee
RM 980
Bench Time
5 – 8 working days
Service 03
Dive Watch Service
Full movement service alongside bezel and click-spring renewal, helium valve inspection where fitted, gasket replacement throughout, and wet pressure testing to the original rated depth. Written for owners who use their piece in the sea rather than at a desk. Bench time is five to seven weeks. Delivered with a pressure test sheet, a bezel alignment record, timing traces before and after, and a 24-month service coverage period.
Fee
RM 3,640
Bench Time
5 – 7 weeks

Shared Standards
Protocols Applied Across All Three Services
Scope Locked Before Bench Work Begins
No work proceeds without written scope agreement. Additional requirements identified during the job are communicated before action is taken.
Parts Ledger Maintained
Every component exchanged is logged. The ledger is available to the owner at collection and forms part of the handback document.
Contact Data Handled Conservatively
Owner contact details are used only to manage the service in question and are not shared with third parties. Retention is limited to the service record period.
Single-Technician Responsibility
One person handles each piece from intake to handback. Questions at collection are answered by the same technician who carried out the work.
Accurate Timeline Communication
Bench time estimates are based on actual workshop capacity. If the schedule shifts, the owner is notified before the original collection date.
Written Handback Documentation
Every service returns with a written record covering what was measured, what was exchanged, and the results of any tests performed.
