What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to remember certain information — such as your preferences or whether you have visited before — over the course of a session or between visits.
Cookies do not give websites access to your device beyond the information stored in the cookie itself. They are widely used to make websites work correctly and to help owners understand how their sites are being used.
The Ambit Horology website uses cookies for session management, preference storage, and optional analytics. You can control which optional cookies are active using the preference panel below.
Cookie Categories
Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They cannot be disabled. They are typically set in response to actions you make, such as setting privacy preferences or filling in forms.
Duration: Session | Examples: consent storage, form session tokens
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited most often, how long visitors stay, and where they arrive from. The data is used in aggregate and does not identify individuals.
Duration: Up to 26 months | Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid)
Marketing Cookies
These cookies may be set by advertising partners to build a profile of your interests. They allow relevant advertisements to be shown on other sites. Disabling them does not stop advertising; it makes it less relevant to your interests.
Duration: Up to 90 days | Examples: Meta Pixel, Bing UET
Preference Cookies
These cookies remember choices you make — such as your region or language preference — so you do not have to re-enter them on every visit. They improve the general experience of returning to the site.
Duration: Up to 12 months | Examples: language preference, display settings
Third Parties
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on this site are placed by third-party services. These operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:
- Google Analytics — website usage statistics. Google Privacy Policy applies.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — conversion tracking for advertising, if enabled. Meta Privacy Policy applies.
- Microsoft Bing UET — conversion tracking for Bing advertising, if enabled. Microsoft Privacy Policy applies.
- Google Fonts / CDN services — font delivery. These may log your IP address as part of the request.

How Long Do Cookies Last?
Session cookies are temporary and are deleted automatically when you close your browser. They are used for things like keeping you on the same page during a form submission.
Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period after the browser is closed. The duration varies by cookie type — analytics cookies may persist for up to 26 months; marketing cookies typically expire within 30–90 days. You can delete them at any time through your browser settings.

Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
You have the right to withdraw cookie consent at any time by adjusting the toggles above and saving your preferences. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before your withdrawal.
